Seniors Emily Lipari (Greenvale, N.Y.) and Nicky Akande (Lawrenceville, Ga.) were each named first team All-Americans on Monday afternoon in an announcement by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Lipari won the national championship in the Mile and Akande finished in eighth place in the 800 meters at the NCAA Championships in Albuquerque, N.M. last weekend. Villanova had a total of eight All-Americans named and both Lipari and Akande received second team honors for running on the Wildcats distance medley relay.
