The official field of teams and individuals for the NCAA Championships was announced on Saturday afternoon. Villanova locked up an automatic bid to the national meet by winning the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional a day earlier and is set to make its eighth straight championships appearance. A total of 18 automatic bids were secured by teams that finished in the top two at nine regional meets around the country. Thirteen additional teams were chosen for at-large bids, while 38 individuals also earned a spot in the championship field. The national championships will be held on the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Ind. next Saturday (November 22), with the men's 10,000 meter race scheduled to go off at 1 p.m.
