Two events were on the schedule for Villanova at the Penn Relays on Friday, with athletes competing in the 100 meter hurdles and the triple jump at Franklin Field. Junior Shanice Grant (Kingston, Jamaica) and senior Emerald Walden (Lafayette Hill, Pa.) had strong performances in the preliminary heats of the 100 meter hurdles during the afternoon, after senior Samantha Francis (Kingston, Jamaica) competed in the College section of the triple jump in the morning.
