Senior Stephanie Schappert (Delray Beach, Fla.) was voted the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Performer of the Year for women's track & field and classmate Alexandra Wasik (Medina, Ohio) joined her on the Academic All-Area Team in an announcement made on Friday afternoon. Votes from the sports information directors of the 29 colleges and universities in the Philadelphia area determine the Academic All-Area Team and Performer of the Year.
