Senior Angel Piccirillo (Homer City, Pa.) and sophomore Siofra Cleirigh Buttner (Dublin, Ireland) each won their respective events during competition at the Penn State National on Saturday afternoon. Piccirillo won the invitational section of the 3000 meters and Cleirigh Buttner was first in the invitational section of the 500 meters, with both runners posting times that rank among the fastest in the nation this season. On the second of two days of competition at Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track, the Wildcats had athletes competing in four invitational races as well as four other individual running events, one relay and two field events.
