Villanova Notebook: Tiernan's 5000 Meters Time Is Indoor School Record

Freshman distance runner Patrick Tiernan (Toowoomba, Australia) set an indoor school record in the 5000 meters at the Iowa State Classic last weekend. Tiernan registered a time of 13:37.73 at Lied Recreation Center and broke the previous Villanova mark of 13:38.3 which Sydney Maree set nearly 33 years ago.
