The new year started on a positive note for Villanova at the Akron Pole Vault Convention, where a group of five field athletes were in competition on Friday night. Senior Alexandra Wasik (Medina, Ohio) led a group of four Wildcats athletes who competed in the Invitational section of the pole vault and cleared a height of 4.00 meters to finish first out of 14 competitors in the event. The meet at Stile Athletics Field House was by invitation only for a number of top field athletes.
