A contingent of five Villanova runners competed on Saturday morning at the Paul Short Run in one of two meets on the team's schedule for the day. Senior Megan Venables (Laurel Springs, N.J.) led the group at the Paul Short Run with a 139th place finish in the Women's Gold race on the Cross Country Course at Lehigh. Venables raced the 6,000 meter course in 22:02 and the five Wildcats in the meet all finished within 26 seconds of each other. Villanova placed 32nd in the team standings of the Women's Gold race despite having just a small group in competition.
