Junior men's cross country runner Patrick Tiernan (Toowoomba, Australia) was named the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Men's Cross Country Performer of the Year in a press release on Tuesday morning. He and senior Rob Denault (Aurora, Ont.) were each voted onto the Academic All-Area Team by the sports information directors at the Philadelphia area colleges and universities.
