Senior middle distance runner Ben Malone (River Vale, N.J.) ran in the national semifinal round of the 1500 meters at the NCAA Championships and placed sixth in his heat with a time of 3:50.61 at Hayward Field on Wednesday afternoon. Malone finished his collegiate career on a strong note with his second appearance at the outdoor national championships. He was an automatic qualifier through the first round and quarterfinals at the NCAA East Preliminary in Tampa two weeks ago.
