Villanova won a total of seven events over two days and went on to capture its third straight indoor team title at the BIG EAST Track & Field Championships Presented by the Jeep Brand on Saturday afternoon. The winning score of 208 points for the Wildcats is also a meet record for the third consecutive year. Senior distance runner Patrick Tiernan (Toowoomba, Australia) was named the meet's Outstanding Track Performer after winning the 3000 meters and the 5000 meters, while head coach Marcus O'Sullivan and his staff were voted the Coaching Staff of the Year after two days of competition at Ocean Breeze Track & Field Athletic Complex.
