The field events on the final day of the Sam Howell Invitational moved indoors due to inclement weather on Saturday afternoon. Villanova had a trio of throwers compete in the shot put at Jadwin Gym to conclude the meet, with junior Dan Sullivan (North Hampton, N.H.) leading the way with a fifth place finish and a personal best throw of 15.29 meters. Freshmen Henry Sise (Hawthorn Woods, Ill.) and Daniel Timko (Shillington, Pa.) came in seventh and ninth, with marks of 14.48 meters and 12.69 meters, respectively.
