Villanova competed in four events during the first day of competition at the Penn State National on Friday evening. Highlighting the team’s results at Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track were personal best times in the 5000 meters recorded by sophomore Katie Fisher (Uxbridge, Ont.) and junior Alexandra Russo (Bellport, N.Y.). Also in action for the Wildcats were athletes in the 60 meters, the distance medley relay and the pentathlon.
