Senior middle distance runner Angel Piccirillo (Homer City, Pa.) made NCAA history when she broke the all-time collegiate record in the 1000 meters at the 2016 BIG EAST Track & Field Championships Presented by the Jeep Brand on Saturday morning. Piccirillo recorded a time of 2:40.82 to set the American collegiate record and also shatter the previous school and meet records. She was named the Most Outstanding Track Performer and Villanova finished third in the team standings at the two-day conference meet.
