An exciting distance medley relay race and strong performances in the field events helped Villanova score 39.5 points and sit in third place in the team standings after one day of action at the BIG EAST Championships. Although the majority of the events will not be scored until the conference meet concludes on Saturday, the Wildcats were opportunistic in accumulating team points in the six events that were scored on Friday at Ocean Breeze Track & Field Athletic Complex.
